Training Classes

HOW do I book into a group class?

Once you have decided which course you would like to join with your dog, please complete and submit the Registration Form located towards the bottom of this web page.

We will then email you with all of the details that you need in order to confirm your booking. If there are no places remaining for the course start date that you have requested, we will offer you alternative options. We aim to respond to all enquiries within 48 hours, so if you haven't received a reply within this time frame, please check your spam / junk folder in case our email has bounced into there. If you can't find an email reply from us in any of your folders, please call, text or WhatApp message Sara on 07833 662417.

Class sizes are small, ensuring that all dogs and owners receive plenty of individual attention.

All courses must be pre-booked and paid for in advance of the course start date.

WHERE are the classes held?

K9 Woodland Services, Cane End, RG4 9HG

Our great outdoor training facility features an all-weather manège, parkland and woodland, all of which are securely-fenced, and provide an ideal environment for a range of training activities, with car parking and toilet facilities on site.

K9 Woodland Services is located just off the A4074 at Summer Barn, Cane End, RG4 9HG, approximately equidistant between the main local towns of Henley-on-Thames, Reading and Wallingford, which are all around a 15 minute drive away.

K9 Woodland Services’s facilities have been developed for private hire by members of the public, so that you can book exclusive use of specific areas, in one-hour slots, seven days a week, and enjoy exercising your dog in interesting, securely-fenced environments knowing that you’ve got the space all to yourselves. Ideal for dogs who do not enjoy interacting with other dogs or strangers, who are still developing their recall skills, or who may be physically fragile and vulnerable to harm from interest shown towards them by other dogs. For more information, visit www.k9woodlandservices.co.uk

WHEN do the classes take place?

Private Training

HOW do I book a private training session?

If you would like to arrange an individually-tailored New Puppy Home Visit, One-to-One Training session or Rescue Dog Support session, please complete and submit the Registration Form located towards the bottom of this web page.

We will then call or email you to discuss your requirements further, and proceed to making an appointment, as appropriate. We aim to respond to all enquiries within 48 hours, so if you haven't received a reply within this time frame, please check your spam / junk folder in case our email has bounced into there. If you can't find an email reply from us in any of your folders, please call, text or WhatsApp message Sara on 07833 662417.

WHERE do private training sessions take place?

Individual training support is offered via video call, and / or in-person in your home, garden, public outdoor space or third-party outdoor training facility, as appropriate.

WHEN are appointments for private training available?

Appointments usually take place during weekday daytimes, however evening and weekend appointments are available and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

WHO can take part in private training sessions?

This will depend on the nature of the training session and the training aims, however ideally everyone who will have a primary training role with the puppy / dog should take part. Please note that parents / guardians are responsible for supervising and ensuring the calm behaviour of children at all times.

HOW much do private training sessions cost?

For the prices of each of our individually-tailored private training options, please read the information for each option listed on the drop-down menu under the Training Options menu tab at the top of this page.

Private training sessions are charged per time slot rather than per dog, therefore if you have more than one dog of your own that you would like to include in the session, or would like to share a session with a friend or family member and their dog/s, we are very happy to accommodate these arrangements.

For in-person support, training session prices apply to training locations within 5 miles of RG9 1TE. A mileage fee of 50p per mile each way is applicable to any additional miles. Third party venue hire, if selected, is also charged as an additional extra. We will let you know if any of these charges will apply before you confirm your appointment.

Cancellation Policy: We understand that life happens and that you may need to change your appointment. If you do need to make a change, please provide us with at least 48 hours notice, otherwise you may be charged the full session fee for your cancelled appointment.
